Dr. Ernest Brothers will present a special session on Graduate Student Mentoring for faculty within our college.
Dr. Brothers is an Assistant Dean in the Graduate School, overseeing the Office of Graduate Training and Mentorship. Before arriving at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, he served as the Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (PSLSAMP) Executive Director at the University of Georgia. Dr. Brothers’ research interests are the following: retention of underrepresented minorities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at majority institutions, managing diversity, and cross-culture mentoring.
