Tennessee Athletics Event Management
The University of Tennessee Athletic Event Management office is currently in the process of selecting new interns for the Spring 2017 semester. This is an unpaid, volunteer program that rewards each intern in experience and opportunities. We are looking for motivated, responsible people that are willing to take initiative and show pride in their work. Our ideal candidates are those eager to invest time and energy as an opportunity to learn and develop their professional skills. The projects completed in our office will provide excellent training and are a critical part of making each event a success. Our intern program consists of half undergraduate and half graduate students working around 10 hours per week in the office, along with additional event hours, each semester to complete practicum requirements or receive additional experience within the sports industry. These events are often scheduled on weeknights, weekends and there are mandatory dates when everyone must work. For the spring semester Spring Recess weekend and Spring Break week are included in these mandatory dates.
Unique to the Spring 2017 Semester, all students in our internship program will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the planning and management of the SEC Swimming & Diving, Men's Tennis and Softball Championships hosted by The University of Tennessee on campus.
Start Date: January 10, 2017 End Date: May 15, 2017 interested applicants may submit their resume with references to Jordan Bearden at email@example.com
