Communications Manager
The Stanford Eisenberg Knoxville Jewish Day School (KJDS) is a private non-profit progressive elementary school, driven by the mission to provide students with a rigorous academic program in a joyous atmosphere, rooted in core Jewish values.  As a 21st century non-profit institution, KJDS understands the critical roles that effective communication and public relations can play in recruitment of new families as well as retention of our installed base. Our primary objectives are to stream line our messaging, effectively communicate our unique approach to education, and utilize the many impactful social media tools for increasing public awareness of the wonderful attributes of KJDS.

KJDS is seeking an ADPR intern for 10 hours/week with flexible hours. The intern will engage with the Head of School on an ongoing basis with the conception and development of innovative campaigns and in managing the KJDS social channels, including: the re-assessment and improvement of our website and marketing collateral, as well as social media content strategies; the development and management of the editorial calendar; and the management of our Facebook page.  The intern will also play an important role in broadening the social media strategy to include new social media tools (e.g. Pinterest and Twitter); monitoring social media analytics; and providing reports of growth and trends.

Educational benefit to students:
KJDS offers the intern the opportunities to gain hands-on experiences with public relations, advertising, and marketing concepts/theories learned in the classroom.  The intern will also have many opportunities to hone their social media skills. The intern will work with a talented and creative staff who are open to innovative and new ideas, as well as marketing professionals on the KJDS board who can offer guidance.
